Karate England National Championships, Harlow

A fantastic day and great performances from our elite athletes making this our most successful ever major championship!

 

Excellent performances too by our younger members making this a really good day.

 

Results as follows;

Wado Ryu Kata section: Bryony Smith, Bronze Medal

Shotokan Kata section: Faye Manning, Bronze Medal

Kata National Champion: Evelyn Higgon

Kata: Sensei Andrea Higgon and Tara Gorton, Bronze Medals

Kumite: Madeline Donlan, Silver Medal

Kumite: Paige Mellor, Bronze Medal (Paige has arrived in the Kumite scene medaling in all 3 majors)

Kumite: Bryony Smith, Silver Medal (in the 18-20 years category - Bryony is 17!! Beaten by the Czech National Champion)

Kumite: Team Rotation, Silver and Gold!!

Kumite: Team Sanbon, Silver Medal (Team TMAC girls representing England Karate chosen by the selectors on the day - fantastic!)

Kate team: Evelyn Higgon, Paige Mellor and Connie Antoshko - National Champions!!

Kumite: Abbie Sutton and Tiah Stewart, Bronze Medals

Kumite: Bryony Smith, Karate England cadet Champion!

 

We ended the day CHAMPIONS of the following categories:

 

1. Kata - Evie (our most successful Kata practitioner ever)

2. Kata team

3. Team Kumite rotation

4. Team Kumite Sanbon

5. Cadet Champion middleweight - Bryony

6. Cadet Champion open weight - Bryony
