Dear Members,
We refer to our previous statement (on social media) regarding Sport England’s advice. This, at this moment in time at least, has not changed. Indeed, Coronavirus whilst being unprecedented in modern times has brought about this statement;
‘Being active in a way that is right for you, can improve your physical health, help manage stress and anxiety and just generally make you feel better’.
Please bear in mind the advice against non essential contact but please still try and stay active where possible.
The Centre and our Satellite clubs are open as at the time of this statement.
We will stay open until the government includes our type of building/gym/dojo in their ‘no go areas’ statement.
So, please feel free to come and train.
Some obvious but necessary statements;
Use your own gloves.
Use your own focus mitts.
If you do not wish to have actual contact with persons then do not spar with them but use the bags etc that are available to you.
We have anti-bacterial gel on the counter and anti-bacterial soap in the washrooms.
Turning now to us having to close, if we do close we would ask that you do not suspend your payments as the Centre still have staff and overheads to meet. What we would look at when everything has settled down is providing some form of credit against future grading fees/Gi’s/seminars.
If you have any concerns please contact us either on email or by phone but, the majority of the members who have spoken to us are going continue with their support and their payments.
Please keep an eye on our social media outlets.
Stay well and healthy.
Regards
Sensei David Wilson
