WUKF European Championships 2022 - Florence, Italy

Abbie Sutton and Madeline Donlan headed out to Florence in Italy for the WUKF European Karate Championships 2022 along with Sensei Wilson as coach for Karate England.

Abbie achieved the triple!!!!:

European silver medal in Kata

European silver medal in Kumite with Gold going to her England Team mate Alice Briner

European silver medal in Kumite for the Karate England Ladies team

Maddie was the lightest and shortest in her 2 categories but a very brave and plucky fighter. Maddie didn't win a medal but scored plenty of points and all the England coaches mentioned how brave she was. Great stuff Maddie - big things to come in the future!!

With Sensei coaching the team he was also there to witness Ruby Wood becoming the new European Kumite Champion to go with her world title.

Karate England came 2nd over all in the medals table which was their highest ever finish!
