Part-time Karate Instructor

Experience:

  • Martial Arts: at least 3 years training in Karate is required and graded to at least 1st Kyu (Brown Belt) is essential.

  • Martial Arts teaching or assisting: 1 year preferred, although not essential as full training will be given.

  • Experience in Heian / Pinan and Senior Shotokan Katas.

  • First Aid certificate preferred, although not essential.

Good rates of pay.

You will be teaching children from the ages of 4 upwards and also adults, in separate classes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person in Essex in the Colchester/Braintree areas to teach classes held at our full time Centre and also at our existing and new Satellite clubs.

You will be joining an expanding Martial Arts organisation who have excellent coaches and students who have achieved success nationally and internationally.

You will need to be a minimum of 17 years old, hold a full clean driving licence and have access to your own transport.

As part of our commitment to Safeguarding, you will be required to complete a DBS check.

To begin with you will be given one class a week to teach. If this goes well then more classes and locations will be added. Classes are held mainly in the evenings and at weekends.

The successful candidate will be given full training in how and what to teach and you will be taught teaching skills to help motivate and inspire students.

You will also receive assistance in how to manage class attendance, recruitment and other aspects of instructing your own class/club. You will have full administration back up.

Exact details on the training and training schedule will be given to applicants.

It is envisaged that in due course the position will become one of a full time certified instructor as part of our expanding organisation. All necessary training to be a full time instructor will be provided.
