Karate England Kyu (non black belt) Competition

Great performances from our 6 members who attended the event at Ongar leisure Centre.

Our numbers of attendees were hit by Covid but the 6 who attended did us proud.

ALL who attended were competing for the 1st time !

Harrison Walters: Silver Kata, Silver Kumite 🥈

Ralitza Karaivanov: Bronze Kata🥉

David Varhanyovszki: Silver Kumite 🥈

Jasper Waller: Silver Kata 🥈

Freddie Keane (a kickboxer who does not even do Karate) who we thought could do well in competition lost 1-2 on the last punch of the fight in the 1/4 final, a win would have guaranteed Bronze. A great performance from him.

Special mention for 1st Dan Daisy Baldwin attending to help out with Judging. Thank you Daisy.
